In its latest announcement of September 2020, the United Kingdom announced that starting in 2021, all people who intend to receive a work visa in this country will be evaluated through a scoring system. The purpose of implementing this new system is to remove the difference between citizens of the EU and other countries, and everyone has the same chance to immigrate to the UK. Also, British employers who intend to hire foreign workers must first receive a sponsorship letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Applicants must also have a job offer from a valid employer with appropriate salary.

Types of visas for Work migration to England

General work visa:

You can apply for this type of visa if you have received a job offer from an employer in the UK. After accepting the desired job position, the employer must issue you a sponsorship certificate and apply for your work permit. The time to apply for this visa is usually three months before the start of the work contract. The validity period of this visa is 3-5 years. By obtaining this visa, you can work or study in the UK with your family (as long as it does not interfere with your job), travel inside and outside of it, or do volunteer work.

Medical and health services visa:

If you have received a job offer from the National Health Organization as a doctor, nurse, health specialist or adult social service specialist, you can apply for this visa. Other conditions of this visa are the same as the general work visa.

Missionary visa:

To apply for this visa, one must first be invited to work by religious organizations as a missionary or an executive member, the validity of this visa is a maximum of three years and its other conditions are the same as the general work visa.

Athletes visa:

This visa is for exemplary athletes or qualified coaches who have been invited to work by the British Sports Council, it is valid for 3 years and its other conditions are the same as the general work visa.

Temporary labor visa/volunteer work:

People who are interested in doing volunteer work in the UK can apply for this visa. In this case, the applicants will not be able to receive a salary, but they still need a sponsorship certificate. The validity period of this visa is 12-28 months, during which people can study, work for their sponsor or in a second equivalent job for 20 hours a week and take their family members with them.

Temporary labor/creativity and sports visa:

This visa is reserved for athletes and artists who have received a job offer from a reputable employer in the UK. Other conditions of this visa are the same as the voluntary work visa.

Temporary Worker Visa/Government Exchange Program:

If you want to participate in a short training course or in research programs and projects approved by the British government, you can apply for this visa. In this case, your sponsor can be an educational-research institution or a government organization. The validity period of this visa is 12-24 months and its other conditions are the same as the temporary volunteer work visa.

Temporary labor visa/international agreement:

This visa is designed for official representatives of foreign governments or other diplomatic officials. The validity period of this visa is 2 years and in special circumstances 60 days. Its other conditions are the same as a temporary volunteer work visa.

Temporary worker/religious worker visa:

Applicants for work in religious organizations can stay in the UK for 24-28 months using this visa. The other conditions of this visa are the same as the voluntary work visa.

Temporary labor/seasonal labor visa:
